Deepening Industry-Education Integration to Promote Industrial Development

To thoroughly implement the innovation-driven development strategy and promote the high-value, green, and full-chain development of the industrial hemp sector, the leadership and technical R&D team of our company recently visited the College of Life Science and Agroforestry and the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, both under the Graduate School of Qiqihar University. They held in-depth cooperation discussions with academic leaders, experts, and professors.
At the College of Life Science and Agroforestry, the two sides focused on the biotechnological breeding of industrial hemp. The university’s expert team presented their latest research achievements in plant genetic improvement and molecular marker-assisted breeding. Both parties reached a preliminary agreement to jointly establish the "Industrial Hemp Germplasm Innovation Joint Laboratory" and carry out targeted breeding research, aiming to solve the raw material bottleneck problem at the source.
Subsequently, our company’s delegation held a special symposium with the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, concentrating on the development of high-value derivative products from industrial hemp production residues. Regarding the large quantities of flower and leaf residues generated after CBD extraction, the two sides discussed feasible technological pathways to convert them into derivative products such as antibacterial sanitary napkins and cat litter. They also reached a consensus on joint research into residue grading and utilization as well as green process optimization, striving to "leave no residue unused and turn waste into treasure."
This collaboration represents a key initiative for our company to deepen industry-education integration and build a closed-loop full industrial chain of "breeding – extraction – residue utilization." In the next phase, leveraging the scientific research strengths of Qiqihar University in life sciences and chemical engineering, combined with our company’s industrialization platform, both parties will accelerate the translation of technological achievements into practical applications. They will also jointly train professional master’s and engineering talents, contributing to the high-quality development of the industrial hemp sector in Heilongjiang Province.
